While celebrating yesterday's World Cup victory, two German players gave a shout out to Mexico and Cabo San Lucas. While German mid-fielder Bastian Schweinsteiger was being interviewed by Inés Sainz for Mexican television station TV Azteca, teammate Lukas Podolsky approaches. Schweinsteiger asks his teammate if he remembers the interviewer, to which he replies, "Yes, from 2006!" The teammates then proceed to thank Brazil and then Mexico. At the mention of Mexico, Podolsky excitedly recalls how they were in Cabo San Lucas on holiday.
Marcela Santiesteban, Director of Marketing for the Secretary of Tourism in Baja California Sur, was quick to post the video on Instagram, adding that in case you missed it, Cabo was a part of the World Cup!
