Tropical Storm Odile

Date Published:

Cabo in the Path of Tropical Storm Odile: Direct Hit as Hurricane Possible

Tropical Storm Odile became official at 9 AM MDT/Cabo Local Time.

Tropical Storm Odile is located off the coast of Acapulco in southwestern Mexico. According to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) the storm will develop slowly over the next 48 hours. After that, conditions favor a more rapid strengthening of the storm.

Cabo San Lucas is in the center of the current storm track projections, meaning a direct hit or near direct hit from Odile is possible
. It is important to note that the storm is still in the early development stages and there are several factors that can alter the storm track, such as interaction with land in southwestern Mexico and wind shear conditions. However, the situation should be closely monitored. Odile is expected to be a hurricane long before any interaction with Cabo.

Updates will be posted to iTravel Cabo as they become available.
