The body of a 22 year old student was found on a beach in
Los Cabos on Sunday, the Attorney General of the State (PGJE ) reported.
The deceased, who was from Los Angeles, died after he got
into difficulties whilst swimming off the beach near the hotel where he was
staying on vacation.
The body was recovered by personnel from the Navy.
No further details were available at this time however the
tragedy underlines the frequent warnings about swimming only in safe areas
around Los Cabos such as within the markers at Medano. Large and powerful
swells as well as rip currents can and do occur regularly and present a
significant risk to unwary swimmers.
