Shipwreck Uncovered By Odile

Date Published:

We already reported on the news that Odile had shifted a lot of the underwater landscape as well as the terrestrial damage it caused, however this video shows just how much things have been changed underwater.

This long-lost shipwreck near El Arco, the famous arch at Land’s End in Cabo San Lucas, is the cargo ship Lundenberg, which sank off the coast of Cabo San Lucas in 1954 with a load of gypsum plaster it was transporting from San Marcos Island in the Sea of Cortez near Santa Rosalia. It has now been completely exposed by the strong storm surge caused by Odile after decades under the sand. Oscar Ortiz of Cabo Expedtions took this amazing video and he and his company are looking forward to talking visitors out there to dive Cabo’s newest underwater attraction.
