Reel Men Wear Pink

Date Published:

Well known Cabo fishing charter company Pisces Sportfishing is backing the National Breast Cancer Foundation by having all of their staff wear pink shirts for the month of October in a bid to raise funds for the charity. As well as the Pisces team, all the staff at Captain Tony’s restaurant on the marina are joining in.

Keen angler and CEO of iTravel Cabo, Chic McSherry, also got into the spirit when he went fishing on Pisces’ Valerie yesterday.

“It’s a well-known fact that hot pink attracts marlin,” he said “and it worked for us because we released two and lost two more.”

Real Men Wear Pink is a fundraising initiative of the National Breast Cancer Foundation which aims to challenge men and the community to fundraise for a great cause and “pink up” in recognition of the women in their lives.

After years of associating the colour pink with breast cancer and women, the concept aims to challenge men to embrace the feminine shade and ruffle the masculine image of a rugged, tough, brawny man’s man.

Men are often overlooked when it comes to Breast Cancer but they are a vital part of the experience be it as a partner, father, brother, friend, colleague or patient.

Find a Real Man in your workplace and challenge him to see if he is "man enough to wear pink".
