Mar De Fondo Returns Again

Date Published:

The Ministry of the Interior has issued a warning to the civil protection authorities of the states of the Pacific coast to continue measures to protect the population over the next few days. The peak of the swell is set for Wednesday (tomorrow) however the prediction is that it will be less intense than last week’s event which saw at least 3 deaths on the Mexican mainland.

Wave heights are predicted to be between 1.8 and 2.7 meters Wednesday thru Thursday .

The Interior Ministry has recommended extreme caution to bathers and surfers due to the presence of dangerous currents and undertows in beach areas, harbors and bays. Tourists and other beach lovers should exercise caution when in or near the water and look for red flag notices.
