A total of 53 offences were recorded during Cabo’s first
weekend of random breathalyzer checks.
Of these 53 driving infractions 22 were recorded in San
Jose del Cabo, and 31 in Los Cabos. Fortunately only 8 out of the 53 offences
were for drunk driving,
The majority of offences related to drivers not being in possession
of the correct documentation.
In an attempt to reduce the number of road accidents, the
checks and will be implemented EVERY weekend in and around Cabo San Lucas and San
Jose del Cabo.
So beware. Don’t drink and drive. And always have your
papers and ID with you.
