The Final Day of Bisbee Black & Blue With An Incredible Result

DAY THREE The flare guns went off at 8 AM signaling the start of the final day of the world's richest fishing tournament. Today’s daily jackpots totaled more than $600,000. Yesterday’s winners didn’t enter the mega-jackpots, so more than $1.1 million dollars were still at stake. If a team that entered all jackpots across the board landed the largest fish, all that money was theirs. The atmosphere was one of ‘anything can happen.’ Day three started off fast. Unlike the first two days, there were a few fish boated in the morning hours. “Reel Pain II” had the first catch but they didn’t get back to the marina until late afternoon. The first marlin to weigh in was a non-qualifying blue of 231 pounds caught by “Fantasmas”. That was followed quickly by “Sporty Game” who brought in a good-looking blue marlin, but it too was disqualified. At 291 pounds it came in just shy of the 300 pound minimum. All the money was still up for grabs when “Sea Angel” came in with a blue caught by Austin Angel. These guys were one of only 19 boats that were in the big money jackpots, so if their fish qualified they stood a chance to win over $1.1 million. When the scale finally settled, the official weight was registered at 313 pounds, making it the first qualifying fish of the day and the tournament’s second potential million dollar marlin...
