Even better beaches in Cabo

Date Published:

With seven blue flag beaches, Cabo now on par with Cancun, and just behind Puerto Vallarta which has 8...

Great news that Cabo’s 3 existing blue flag beaches have been successfully re-awarded the prestigious blue flag statues. These are Palmilla, Santa Maria, and Chileno.

But even better news that another four beaches in Cabo have also been awarded the same blue flag status -  Hacienda, Las Viudas, Acapulquito and La Empacadora.

This is a big deal for Cabo .The internationally recognized blue flags indicate the beaches have the highest levels of cleanliness, safety and environmental management. And they have  a big impact on tourism.

Gaining another four blue flags, really strengthens Cabo’s position, earning it joint second place in Mexico, just behind Puerto Vallarta in top place with 8 flags.

Flags are awarded for only one season at a time. And if the 33 criteria are not maintained during the season, or the conditions change, the blue flag may be withdrawn.
