The Cabo San Lucas Carnival 2013 is Ready To Go!

After 12 long years, Cabo Carnival returns with what is expected to be a grand, festive three days and nights in Cabo San Lucas, beginning Thursday, February 14-17. Cabo Carnival is expected to be a fusion and mix of the many cultures and countries that typically are found in the city's much visited downtown area streets. The festival used to be a tradition that was suspended until the City of Cabo San Lucas Municipal leaders eventually stepped in and garnered the support of new sponsors to bring back this wonderful tradition. The celebration of Carnival Cabo San Lucas 2013 officially begins at 4:00 p.m. from the Cultural Pavilion near Pedregal. The tall, gray structure located by the Marina and Cabo Adventures Dolphin Center. A parade of floats, one featuring the King and Queen of Cabo Carnival, will leave the area and work its way along the main boulevard until it reaches the Walmart Plaza. Once there, the party will join the circus, and kick off with live music, traditional Mexican food stands and a mingling of locals and tourists alike. Dr. Martin Alcazar, a native of Columbia, said, ''In my country, Carnival is really big. It's the one true big party just before Lent and Easter that combines people wearing masks, parades, and fiestas on the street.''
