Fishing still fair to midland, but it was better this week than previously!! And with all the Spring breakers around making everyone smile, what is not to LOVE about being in Cabo this time of year. I still think I’ve got it till I see all those 20 somethings struttin’ around the marina in their bikini’s LOL!! They sure aren’t worried about how the fishing has been!
We had a pretty good day for Striped Marlin on Monday with David Demers and his crew on RumRunnin catching a Striped Marlin, which was released and they boated a nice Dorado. The story was exactly the same for John and Lauren McCracken on Tantrum. Jerry and Angela Brown out of Saint Louis, MO fished on ReelRum and caught 3 really nice Dorado, 2 nice enough to have trophies made! Congrats guys! Catch of the day was Rick Gassers group who fished on 65′ 3rd Degree, they released 2 Striped Marlin and boated 25 Triggerfish – now that’s some good eatin’ folks! August Brandenstien and his group fished for 2 days, 1st day on 19′s Toy just caught 3 Skip Jack and day 2 on the smaller ReelRum boated 4 huge Dorado. James Halbur and gang on El Nuevo caught a nice Dorado and released a Jack Crevalle on Tuesday. RedRum had no luck on Tuesday going from one place to the next trying to find the right spot, we hated it too for the 2 kids that did not get to catch their first “big one”. They will have plenty of time to get back out there and try again!! Wednesday was a little better with our buddy Joe Torolski and Ray Vance out on El Nuevo Redrum. They found some Yellowfin Tuna, 3 in fact and they boated another Dorado. They fished the week before on 19′s Toy and pulled in 6 Dorado. They were happy….SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES Joe will be back around, he’s been calling to check out the fishing as of late, and may be back next week!! Braden Neskora and Emily Kucera fished on Tantrum and caught a nice Dorado. John Slocum was back with us and his crew caught a Dorado and released a Striped Marlin. Dakota Bielat and friends fished on RedRum for the day and caught 3 Dorado and 4 Skipjacks. Scott Hamblet had a banner day Thursday catching 6 Dorado, one of which was released and a Yellowfin Tuna. Mike Bustament and wife took out sons Sam, 10, and Matt, 12. They had a great time catching 4 Dorado, one of which they released and 3 Skipjack. They look happy in the pics!! Jeff Moos and his gang were on RedRum for the day Friday. They had a lot of luck catching the first Sea Bass we have seen in a while, a Skip Jack and 7 Spanish Mackerel. Karen and Robert Phillips landed a nice Dorado off of ReelRum. Randall Fagundo fished on 19′s Toy Saturday and released a Striped Marlin. Sunday Jim Burkhardt and his boat released a Striped Marlin. The Thomas clan who has fished with us before, brought back some friends and had a great day on 19′s Toy catching a nice Dorado and releasing a Striped Marlin.
