Amigos – As we move into the winter months, the fishing here in Cabo San Lucas seems to be headed in the right direction. After weeks of fishing tournaments we are back on a daily charter rotation with some good fishing action to be had.

Marlin – We saw an off and on Striped Marlin bite getting better into this weekend. Most of the action was in the Pacific just off the light house and into San Jaime Bank. Those chartering bigger boats for full days saw better action further offshore for bigger Blue Marlin this week. We had several boats this week release multiple Marlin on day trips. The artificials, petroleros did well while many were landed drifting live bait.

Tuna – After last weeksnds Tuna Jackpot Tournament we continued to find nice size Yellow Fin at about the 1000 fathom line straight out  from Herradura to the Outer Gordo Banks. A good fast boat makes the difference this time of year as Tuna keep moving further and further out. The kite rigs seem to be the ticket for getting strikes with either fresh Ballyhoo or Flying Fish lures.

Dorado – Thank the sea gods for a great week with the Dorado bite. We finally had a decent bite which seem to improve as the week went on. The fish seemed to like the waters in the Pacific from Solmar up to the Light House in the 1 to 2 mile range. They were striking artificials mostly this week.

Wahoo – The Wahoo bite has been excellent this week. We saw many nice sized Hoos including a fish that was easily over 50 pounds. The Sea of Cortez was good right off of Cabeza de Ballena and the Pacific produced as well just off the coast. Those boats with down riggers did best dropping  Caballitos to 80 ft and also just dragging bridled Mackerel.

Not much else going on here at the moment. Water is still a bit too warm for a good Sea Bass or bottom fishing. Sharks weren’t very active and with all the good Dorado and Wahoo running, nobody really cares.

Take advantage of our Winter Deals and get down here, fishing is good and getting better!
