At the Aquazul Spa we feature the only true Temazcal in Los Cabos, the indigenous sweat lodge that has its origins in a Mayan ritual ceremony.
The Temazcal is the most pleasant expression of Mayan traditions in medicine, it consists of a steam bath based on hot stones and medicine plants inside an adobe igloo. It is known as a sacred act and its performed as part of a ceremonial rite where the basic 4 elements (earth, fire, water and air) are honored.
